Partnerships in action
When Cambridge acquired the global rights to Xenazine from LifeHealth Limited in 1996 the product had received regulatory approval in just a handful of countries: Australia, Canada, Denmark, New Zealand and the UK.
We recognised Xenazine's global potential and, working with LifeHealth, we set about revitalising the product's pre-clinical, clinical, manufacturing and technical data, in order to apply for marketing authorisations in key European territories, the USA and Japan. Most notably this work included clinical studies in the USA, plus a complete toxicology pre-clinical programme.
Now we're reaping the benefits of this proactive approach. Approvals are being secured in our target markets and global sales of Xenazine are projected to rise significantly as new marketing approvals are generated.
